The short version: we collect your email address if you give it to us, and payment details only through our payment provider. We do not sell your data, we do not run advertising trackers, and you can have everything deleted by asking once.

What we do not do

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers.
We do not run third-party advertising trackers or sell ad space.
We do not profile you for automated decision-making.
We do not store card numbers — payment is handled entirely by our payment provider.

Who processes data on our behalf

Email delivery — our newsletter provider stores your email to send you what you asked for.
Payments — Lemon Squeezy acts as Merchant of Record (MoR), meaning it is the legal seller of record, processes the payment, and handles VAT / sales tax collection and remittance. It receives the data needed to do that.
Web hosting and analytics — basic, privacy-respecting page statistics only.

Each of these is bound by a data processing agreement and may only use your data to perform that specific function. Where data is transferred outside the EEA (European Economic Area), it is done under Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism.

Cookies

We use only what is strictly necessary to make the site work, plus anonymous page statistics. There is no advertising cookie on this site, so there is no advertising cookie banner to accept.

Your rights

Under GDPR / UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, port and object to processing of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Under the CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act) you have the right to know what is collected, to have it deleted, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights.

To exercise any of them, email hello@unfilteredchina.com with the words "privacy request" in the subject. We respond within 30 days (GDPR) or 45 days (CCPA). Every newsletter also has a one-click unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is sufficient to remove you from marketing.

Children

This site is aimed at business buyers and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, subscribers will be told by email before it takes effect. This version was published on 20 September 2026.

Note for the site owner: replace [LEGAL ENTITY NAME] with the registered entity once formed, and add the registered address. Under the EU GPSR and consumer law, a business site must identify the legal operator. Have local counsel review before you take payments from EU consumers.
